Coach Jeff Kosters embarks on year number four leading the Leola-Frederick Area Titans girls basketball program.
“A lot of the girls have put in a very significant amount of time in the off-season,” Coach Kosters said. “It was a pretty good summer and they are all excited for the opportunity to get back to playing basketball. This is a pretty competitive bunch, and they possess great work ethic and willingness to get better this year.
“Things did begin to improve the last half of the season last year, and the team is hoping to build on that. They are a young team, but many of the girls have gained valuable experience these past couple of seasons. After the struggles endured the past few seasons, they are very much looking forward to getting back on the court to build where we left off last season bigger and stronger than before. Hopefully they can stay healthy as our young roster continues to gain valuable experience for the future.”
The girls have a busy opening week as three games will be in Frederick on December 7th, 9th, and 11th before heading to Leola against Aberdeen Christian on the 16th and wrapping up pre-Christmas action on the 20th at Waubay.
