The Community Store in Frederick will have its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the Community Center in Frederick.
Two representatives from Kulm Grocery in Kulm, N.D., will attend the meeting. Kulm Grocery was struggling seven years ago when a group of local investors decided to purchase it. Since then, they have figured out ways to make the business successful. They have been able to do one significant project each year, such as adding baking equipment or replacing the lighting system.
Diane Batsch, co-manager of Kulm Grocery, will tell what they’ve done in the past seven years to make their business survive and even thrive in a town of about 350 residents. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The regular business of the shareholders of the Community Store will follow. All are welcome to attend, but only shareholders can vote; residents interested in supporting the store can purchase shares at the meeting.
Those with questions can call board member Sheila Rahja at 216-0918.
