BLOCK PARTIES ARE BACK
Laughter, fun and food were the main elements of the Community Block parties that were held a couple years ago throughout the immidiate Frederick Area. Every event had people saying afterward, “We should do this again.” So, Frederick Forward thought we’d start the ball rolling for the 2015 “Block” parties and gather as townships to celebrate harvest and say good bye to summer until next year with simultaneous potluck suppers on Sunday, September 20 from 5-7. Bring a dish to pass, a smile to share and if you’re interested, there will be Kuub and/or Mӧlkkey, fun, easy to learn lawn games, available to play.
The locations and host/organizers are listed below. If you don’t see your township listed it’s because we don’t have a host. If you’d like to participate but don’t see your township listed below, it’s because we don’t have a host. You’re welcome to contact the host of another township and be part of theirs or better yet, organize one with your town or township(s) and call your neighbors to invite them over.
The Osceola and Palmyra townships had more than 30 people attend their gathering at the Elm Lake Lodge for their community Block Party in 2013.
